2/3rd Line Support Engineer/Technical Support Analyst

Location: Preston

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

A 2/3rd Line Support Engineer you would be working for an industry expert who are investing in their organisation to improve their clients experience.

The 2/3rd Line Support Engineer will be supporting 2/3rd Line issues to support the whole IT function, which includes general IT, Networking and Telephony support issues. You will be given the chance to support a very complex infrastructure and provide an insight to future technologies that can be used.

This role would suit someone who is looking to work for a very down to earth organisation who have not forgotten their roots. The successful 2/3rd Line Support Engineer will be provided training on the job by senior members within the team, they provide external training courses to benefit your needs and will be held responsible for commercial aspects of the organisation.

The 2/3rd Line Support Engineer will need to have majority of the below:

  • Windows Server
  • Windows 7/8/8.1/10
  • Active Directory
  • MS Exchange 2010/2013
  • MS Office product knowledge (2010-2013)
  • MS Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services
  • PC Hardware and Printer support
  • LAN and WAN Technologies
  • Avaya CS1000 PBX and Nortel IP phones
  • VMware (ideally Horizon)
  • Networking - switching/routing
  • VPN

Desirable skills:

  • ITIL
