Job Title: 1st Line Support - Network

Salary: £20,000

Location: Solihull

Morson International have an active requirement for a candidate to join as a 1st Line Support Engineer to work on our client's NOC site in Solihull. This role is suited for anyone soon to finish college, leaving the HM Forces or self-taught and looking for a change in career.

Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates are required to hold a valid SC clearance prior to starting. Candidates who do not hold current SC clearance must be willing and eligible to undergo clearance

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling support requests by telephone, email and service desk system
  • Assisting in the diagnosis of reported faults and taking steps to resolve
  • Completing requested maintenance actions according to appropriate procedures
  • Referring to site documentation for IT related procedures and actions
  • Escalating any urgent or unresolved issues to senior staff
  • Maintaining Windows Server systems, including backups, updates and anti-virus protection
  • Administering client networks and Internet connectivity
  • Updating site logs for IT related procedures and actions
