Rail Jobs and Transportation

As the electrification of rail networks continues to expand, the industry is seeing a steady increase in the demand for highly skilled, experienced professionals to fill various linesman jobs.

Linesmen play a vital role in the rail industry, helping ensure that our complex and ever-growing rail networks in the UK and around the world can operate safely and efficiently. Engineers working in linesman roles are responsible for the installation and maintenance of a variety of electrical systems, including transformers, conductors, high voltage overhead lines and equipment.

At Morson, we’ve got decades of experience sourcing and placing candidates in linesman roles in organisations both in the UK and abroad. Over the years, we’ve built strong working relationships with some of the most well-known rail employers, and have recruited candidates for some of the industry’s most highly acclaimed infrastructure projects.

We offer a full support package to all of our candidates, providing on-going assistance and advice throughout the job application process. We are able to help with everything from improving your CV and providing valuable tips for preparing for interviews, right through to practical training or assistance applying for the necessary legislation required to work overseas.

Our team recruits for a variety of linesman roles in the rail industry, including:

  • Linesman
  • Distribution Linesworker
