Claims ManagerNottingham, Nottinghamshire
My client, Public Sector organisation based in Nottingham are looking for and experienced Claims Manager to join their Finance and Business Services function. The Claims Manager will be responsible for managing individual caseloads and a team of Claims Handlers; offering guidance, expertise and support along with performance management to ensure timely resolutions of the overall claims portfolio and claims backlog within their Hub and within legal frameworks. What you'll be leading on Responsible for managing individuals within the Claims Team, providing full managerial support, performance evaluations, coaching and career development advice to develop and support a high performing team. Being accountable for tracking and reporting on the claims within the region, putting forward suggestions for resolution of these claims and seeking legal advice where necessary. Review cases put forward by Claims Handlers and with financial delegation ranging between £20k and £50k dependent on team and situation, taking recommendations from Claims Handlers on surrounding information and making decisions based on precedent and experience to ensure the timely resolution for the business within legislation and guidance from experts. Liaise closely with a range of stakeholders, including service providers, Traffic Officer service, ROC/RCC, inspectors, quantity surveyors/estimators, barristers, legal department, claimants, insurance providers to collate robust evidence to the support the time resolution of claims. Share findings across the department and across the business to influence best practice and continuous improvement, while ensuring a consistent approach to the management of claims. Have an awareness of the impact of decision making on the organisation, with outcome of claims being subject to the setting of legal precedent, therefore ensuring evidence is robust and decisions made are legally defensible and up to scrutiny. Attend case conferences, providing evidence and reports to aid the decision making on complex cases, where results are being challenged, ensuring all information and analyses are completed. To be successful Experience of managing a diverse team with excellent people and coaching skills. Experience of handling a range of claims from receipt to resolution, including personal injury and insurance claims. Applying case law where appropriate to aide decision making. Ideally qualified to Level 3 Certificate in Insurance. Experience of producing statistical information and reports. Ability to interrogate data. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks. Collections AdvisorStockport, Greater Manchester
My client is a multinational telecommunications company, their Stockport based team are currently looking for Claims Advisors to join their Managed Collections & Enquiries Team. They are looking for experienced candidates with a strong background in business to business credit management. Salary £22,920 + 10% bonus Responsibilities Liasing with customers to secure payment, collect cash, and deliver an outstanding customer service. Meeting agreed KPI's for cash collection and customer satisfaction. Improving cash flow by encouraging preferred payment methods, educating customers to improve payment methods and minimising overdue debt. Investing payment related queries. Escalating delays and resolving issues that could result in late payments. Planning customer calls to ensure the call is effective, covers all associated debts/ enquiries and that a promise of full/ part payment is received. Managing accurate records of conversations/ actions taken to ensure all reporting is completed within agreed timescales. Skills Demonstrated experience in Customer Service/ Experience within Credit Management. Experience in credit control/ cash collection techniques and processes. Experience working in roles with high quality call standards/ monitoring in place. Strong communication, rapport building and written and verbal skills. Effective negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills and the ability to manage conflict well. Confident decision maker, able to display tact and diplomacy and defend decisions when required.
Credit ControllerNorwich, Norfolk
We are currently looking for a Credit Controller for our client based in central Norwich. This is a temporary role for approx 4 weeks to start as soon as possible. In state of the art offices, within a friendly team, this role will involve: To collect any outstanding charges from tenants Provision of accurate arrears reports. Provide arrears statistics. Ensure a high level of collection rates. Chase tenants by telephone, fax, email or letter to recover outstanding sums. Achievement of client collection statistics targets. Have regular meetings with portfolio managers providing comments on arrears. Update tenant contacts on system. Liaise with treasury team over allocation of funds. Assist treasury team to ensure unallocated cash kept to a minimum. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for both internal and external clients as required. Ensure that any management agreement targets are met. Instruct Enforcement Agents. Instruct solicitors. Reconciliation of tenant accounts and resolving tenant queries. Work within the best practice guidelines to ensure a common and consistent approach is used across the company. Any other duties necessary to assist with the running of the various portfolios within the team. Candidates must have previous credit control experience. Must have good IT skills. Must work well within a team and have good attention to detail.
