Rate: £33.90 per hour Umbrella / £30 Deemed Ltd / £25.62 PAYE Job Description Accountabilities Accountable to the CAMO Services Manager for Airbus Defence and Space - Airbus Support Centres UK based in RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. The position requires close liaison with the customer's MilCAM and MRP Part 145 Line Maintenance organization on site, and with the Airbus and other external EASA Part 145 base maintenance organizations, to ensure contractual targets and service levels are achieved. NB. The employee will be subject to UK security clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with operational requirements. Main Activities The Airbus A400M CAMO Services team provides sub-contracted aircraft technical management services in support of the A400M fleet operated by our customer, the RAF. The sub-contracted services relate to the continuing airworthiness management of the A400M and they are carried out to the MRP Part M, Subpart G standard of compliance. The Airbus A400M CAMO Services team is based in the Airbus Maintenance and Logistics Support Facility at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. The Technical Services Systems Engineer is responsible for: - All technical aspects relating to the A400M aircraft systems. - Investigating in-service reliability issues relating to A400M aircraft Systems in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer. - Developing A400M maintenance program amendments, in conjunction with the OMP Engineer, to mitigate fleet reliability issues relating to aircraft systems. - Assessing technical documentation applicable to the A400M aircraft systems issued by OEMs, the TC Holder and the Regulators. - Managing and recording modifications, damage and repairs relating to A400M Systems in conjunction with the Configuration Engineer. - Developing instructions to enable the EASA Part 145/MRP Part 145 organization to perform the necessary inspections, repairs or modifications to the A400M fleet. - Providing on-site technical assistance, research and liaise with all stakeholders to provide adequate responses to technical queries relating to the A400M aircraft systems. - Entering and maintaining data in the MDS Database relating to the A400M. - Managing projects and assignments as directed by the tech Services Manager. The Technical Services Systems Engineer may also be required to develop procedures and documentation, to ensure efficient and effective working practices, whilst maintaining compliance with MRP Part M, Subpart G regulation, through a process of continuous improvement. Outputs The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role are detailed in the Mid Term Contract between RAF and Airbus DS. The KPIs may be amended from time to time by mutual agreement between the two parties.
Seasonal Operative to work at the Ickneild Port loop Our client one of the UKs largest charities, who maintain 2,000 miles of historic canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs, We are looking to recruit a Seasonal Waterway Operative to be based in the Birmingham area. This will be a 6 -month seasonal contract starting in April till the beginning of October. The main duties of the role will be to join existing maintenance teams responsible for the upkeep and conservation of the Canal network. The role is to be based in Birmingham but will cover the local area so the successful candidate must be flexible regarding working location and willing to travel. In addition, the successful candidate will be in regular contact with users of the canal network so excellent Customer Service skills are required. Duties: - Assisting lock keepers with lock keeping at busy times, covering gaps in the rota where required. Training will be provided for lock keeping and an internal assessment will be carried when the successful candidate is ready for this. General vegetation maintenance including but not limited to cutting the grass around the lock flight using a power-driven lawn mower, training will be given for the use of the mower. Strimming grass using powered strimmer. Trimming hedges by hand using hand tools. Edging grass using hand tools Painting of locks, bridges fencing and signs Fencing, signs and posts, small towpath repairs General safety checks of the Destination Litter picking Emptying bins Mopping the floor in the customer service facilities Meeting and greeting visitors in the Welcome station and engaging them with the work of the charity Assisting with and leading activities such as Lets Paint and Lets Pond dip. A full driving license is required for the position.
