Project Manager for Brand new workstream, Salford / ManchesterNorth West England, England
Urgently needed a talented Project Manager to head up a brand new programme of work. You'll have a strong background in large IT projects including infrastructure, 3rd party applications and other large IT programmes. Any exposure to SAP would be a distinct advantage. You'll be well versed in the principals of managing a project from inception to completion and ideally hold a Prince2, PMI or equivalent qualification to back this up. Initially focusing on a large strategic SAP based project, the role will expand into other IT areas and with over 100 projects of varying size and scope live at any one time you'll enjoy the challenge of juggling more than one project at a time. You'll act as the communication layer between the IS&T teams, 3rd parties and the wider business segments so excellent communication skills are essential as well as the skills to influence and impact decisions as well as challenge with humility. To truly get the most from this position you'll have a 'can do' attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to move from project to project with ease. This is a huge, complex matrix organisation so part of the challenge will be getting your head around these complexities, identifying how everything fits together and who your key stakeholders will be for each project, if you've worked in this environment before it will likely stand you in good stead.
