As one of the most prominent UK infrastructure projects, there is a plethora of HS2 jobs available at all stages of the project. Currently valued at £350million, HS2 is the biggest single rail infrastructure scheme in Europe. As such the project will dominate demand for construction-related skills for decades.
According to data gathered by the University of Dundee, the CITB and Experian, the unprecedented demand for skills will involve average requirements for 4,980 construction operatives, 1,015 construction designers and 735 construction managers each month over the course of the 26-year project delivery period, as well as non-construction, rolling stock and railway systems professionals.

I&M Data Coordinator required for Main JV Contractor working on the HS2 Project. Contract - 3 months initially (Inside IR35) Remote Working Role Brief: Responsibility for the configuration and management of the Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M) Database and Visualization software within the project. Contributing to achieving a safe system of work and assuring to third parties such as Network Rail that impact of construction is as predicted and acceptable. Comparing data against trigger levels and reporting if necessary. Required Qualifications and Skills *A degree in a scientific subject, or equivalent relevant business experience. *Demonstrable experience in Construction Monitoring systems and knowledge of Instrumentation methods. *Good IT skills, eg Office 365, document management and online database systems. *Capable of summarizing and presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner. *Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. *Previous experience in a large construction projects. Desirable Qualifications and Skills *Experience of Land surveying and/or Instrumentation survey. *Experience of Asset Protection, ie Network Rail, London Underground, Utilities suppliers.
Requirements Manager required for Main Civils JV on the HS2 Project. London based/working from home. Contract, 6 months initially. Rate negotiable depending on relevant experience - Inside IR35 Role Brief: System Engineering and Requirements Management, Verification and Validation & DOORS. Writing requirements management plans V&V process. Required Qualifications & Skills *Appropriate professional qualification or equivalent experience *Previous experience of working on large infrastructure projects, multidisciplinary teams, in particular experience in civil engineering or rail would be an advantage *Experienced in the use of Requirements Management systems to manage project requirements *Strong communication skills

Pre-Construction Engineering Manager required to work for Tier 1 Civils JV on HS2 Project. London Ongoing contract basis Role Brief: The role of the Pre-construction Engineering Manager focuses on the pre-construction activities such as the management of conducting inspection for assessment. Take a lead in programming the works for our surveying subcontractors to meet construction dates, to maintain progress, keep a database of results, review and route reports, and to engage with a large number of stakeholders. The Pre-construction Engineering Manager will be responsible for the area of the project and will report to their Area Engineering Lead and will have close liaison with the Work Package Managers in the Core for Inspection for Assessments, Pre-construction condition surveys for Buildings and Railway Assets.
