CAD SpecialistPoole, Dorset
Morson International are currently seeking a CAD Specialist to join our client based in Poole, Dorset. This is a contract position for initially 6 months with the possibility of extension. This is a full-time role based in our clients Poole office with working hours being 0830 to 1700 Monday to Thursday and 0830 to 1530 Friday (45 minute lunch breaks). Our client is looking for an individual to join the Project Engineering team, focusing on Electrical and Mechanical design and specification works. As a key member of the Project Engineering team, the primary focus of the role is to prepare engineering drawings for manufacturing and documentation to the client's customer. Tasks and Responsibilities 1. All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Operating System, Health & Safety Site Directives and Code of Conduct. 2. Ensure all relevant technical standards and specifications are adhered to for full technical compliance without supervision outside of departmental guidelines. 3. Collaborate with the Project Engineer on system design and create mechanical fabrication, mechanical assembly/outline and electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD (Mechanical and Electrical versions). 4. Demonstrate technical ability and any associated 3rd party equipment working as well as being familiar with control systems and sampling systems. 5. To liaise with engineering and production to ensure suitable drawings are supplied and any changes discussed and recorded. 6. Attend internal meetings as required and support manufacturing teams to ensure system manufacturing is successful 7. To supply final drawings and technical documentation to client and service / commissioning engineers. Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must have relevant knowledge & experience.
Senior Mechanical EngineersPortsmouth, Hampshire
Senior Mechanical Engineer - T45 The EPG Senior Mechanical Engineer (C) will deliver professional engineering services to Warship Support in the areas of Naval Marine Mechanical Equipment and Systems. The EPG Senior Mechanical Engineer will be required to undertake and in some cases lead others in activities across the breadth of the engineering lifecycle to support in-service Naval Marine Platforms. These may include: · Problem understanding and root cause analysis, requirements/acceptance development, feasibility studies, concept design and engineering analysis activities. · Equipment and system design definition to critical design review (CDR) maturity in line with all relevant governance processes and technical/safety/quality requirements. · Undertake design substantiation via calculation for marine mechanical systems and equipment. This shall include mechanical simulation/analysis in the areas of structures, fluids and heat transfer, incorporating appropriate optimisation and v&v routines. · The integration, commissioning, test, trial and acceptance of design solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering capability across a broad set of challenges to meet the needs of specific Naval platforms, the EPG team and the customer programme. Aircraft Mechanical SupervisorYeovil, Somerset
Morson International are currently looking to recruit a number of Aircraft Mechanical Supervisors to work at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset on the Wildcat aircraft. This is a permanent position. Due to the nature of the role, applicants will be required to hold recent Supervisory status on aircraft, ideally rotary. Job Description: JOB PURPOSE Aircraft maintenance. MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS To hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS, this is to include second signature within own trade group as detailed in OP 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA). Maintain technical currency and authorisation through the training program and reading disseminated information. Aircraft maintenance within trade, as tasked by the Controllers and in accordance with published Procedures and Instructions. Completing GOLDesp procedures IAW Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A-0409-01 series of publications. Observing authorised tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) when carrying out maintenance work on aircraft and aircraft associated bay work. Supervision of Technicians. Operation and maintenance of AGE and Hangar facilities as directed. Preparation of aircraft for road or air transportation if required. Participation in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required. Carrying out independent inspections where authorised in accordance with MAP-01, Chap 6.10 and IAW individual REA.
