Process Engineer - Circuit Card AssemblyBolton, Greater Manchester
As a senior Process Engineer within the CCA manufacturing facility your focus will be to ensure that our products are built efficiently, with the most modern tools available. As a senior Process Engineer you will demonstrate ownership of processes and equipment in the SMT PCB manufacturing facility. In this role you will utilise your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Develop and maintain manufacturing methods. Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation. Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment. Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process change or improvements. Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment. Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation. Support the quality function through identification and elimination of product non-conformances. Contribute to process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in manufacturing. Attend cross-functional quality sessions and track/drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Utilise lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity. Formal technical Engineering / Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21. Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject. Experience in Circuit Card Assembly equipment. 5 years, experience within SMT PCB manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of Electronic assembly, utilising the following equipment / processes: DEK printer, MYDATA, Solder reflow, Selective Solder etc. Experience of PCB ruggadisation processes such as Underfill and Conformal Coating would be advantages. Should be IPC J Std-001 and IPC-610 certified. Manual handling training. ESD training. Colophony health surveillance. Additional Job Details: Manufacturing engineering experience of RF assemblies / CCA's preferred but not essential. Ideally needs to be familiar with RF assembly techniques (ATV soldering, wire / ribbon bonding etc).

They are recruiting for a contract Senior Hardware Engineer - Digital Electronics to join their Cyber Security Hardware Engineering department in Newport. You will be responsible to the Head of Hardware Engineering for executing allocated electronics hardware design work packages within agreed cost, time and quality constraints. You will be responsible for specifying, performing and documenting electronics hardware design for allocated elements of the product design architecture, by: Specifying hardware architectures and solutions to problem statements. Performing in-house electronics design for allocated area of responsibility. Adequately documenting the design for allocated area of responsibility. Controlling and reviewing work of the members of their team (where a team exists) You will resolve clearly defined problem statements into design solutions typically up to 6 months in duration. Key Tasks You will need to ensure that: Electronics hardware is designed, developed, integrated and tested in accordance with company standards; all supporting documents are produced in accordance with company standards. Appropriate processes, tools and methodologies are used to design and deliver allocated electronics hardware development work packages meeting cost, time and quality targets, agreed with the engineering team leader. Electronics hardware technical design decisions are made within the context of known practices, established precedents and acquired technical expertise. The cost/benefits of design possibilities are understood, enabling appropriate judgement calls to be made. Electronics hardware development plans can be estimated in detail, and resource requirements can be allocated against plans.
