The Morson workplace pension is coming
If you are working on a PAYE basis and you have yet to start a workplace pension, there is good news. The government has created a new initiative to help you build up a pension through your workplace. Over time all companies will enrol their qualifying PAYE temporary workers into a workplace pension scheme if they are not already in one. The best news is that the set-up is covered by Morson in conjunction with B&CE and The Peoples Pension, Morson’s scheme provider.
From the end of September 2013 if you meet the eligibility criteria*, you will be automatically enrolled into Morson’s workplace pension scheme from your assessment date. You can choose to opt out of the scheme if you want to, but if you stay in then you will be starting to contribute to your own pension fund which you will receive payments when you retire.
Additionally, if you stay in the scheme, Morson will contribute to your pension and the government will too, via tax credits. It’s a hassle free way of saving for retirement while you earn.
We will contact you
Information will be sent to all eligible workers when they start or in good time before their assessment date. We will also post further information on the company website. Please take the time to read this through carefully and if you have any queries please contact us or Peoples Pension.
