Paul Nicholls paraded his runners and riders for the owners at an exclusive event at his stables in Ditcheat, Somerset ahead of the new season.
On a warm September afternoon, owners gathered at Manor Farm Stables for a garden party and for the chance to walk the yard. The stables team then paraded the horses for the guests and shared plans for entries throughout the coming months. This was followed by entertainment and food. Morson-sponsored jockey Bryony Frost, who suffered serious injuries after being unseated during a race at Newton Abbot in July, was also in attendance and confirmed that she would be returning to the saddle in October.
"Gimme A Copper is another one to watch. That's a horse that could win a Grand National one day, and then we really would have a party!"
It is to be expected that Politologue, Black Corton, Diego Du Charmil, Cyrname, Modus, Clans Des Obeaux and Le Prezien will continue their good form from last season into the next season, with smart looking younger horses like Danny Kirwan and Topofthegame also ones to watch.
Champion Trainer 10 times - including 7 times in a row - Nicholls' career has been one of consistency, delivering over 100 winners in 18 of the last 28 seasons.
Within the next 12 months, it is highly likely Nicholls will reach a career win total of 3,000, making him just the third person in history to do so. From starting out in 1991 with just eight horses, to crossing this incredible total 28 years later with a stable of horses in excess of ten times that size, it's been a remarkable story for the trainer and one that Morson are proud to be a part of it as we enter our second season of sponsorship.
