Following his recent completing of a higher level apprenticeship, Morson’s executive training manager Matthew Leavis has recently been awarded Higher & Degree Level Apprentice of the Year at the Skills for Business Awards 2017. The award was presented at a ceremony at the Emirates Old Trafford on Thursday 30 November 2017.

The award highlights Matt’s dedication to completing additional apprenticeship qualifications in conjunction with developing the Morson Vital Training business in his day-to-day role. He has completed his Level 3 diploma in Leadership and Management through the ILM, a Level 5 diploma through the Chartered Institute of Management and has become a chartered fellow through their experiential route. This has been achieved during the last three years as Matt has taken an embryonic business to become the leading light in it’s sector.

He is now studying in his second year, studying business at Manchester Metropolitan University, with a view to continue on to his Masters through the Morson graduate programme.

Matt talks to us about why doing a higher level apprenticeship is an excellent way to progress your career – and why there shouldn’t be any stigma attached.
