Former WBA lightweight champion boxer Anthony Crolla will be attending an exclusive fan meet and greet event at the head office of Salford-based recruitment and design specialists Morson Group on Thursday 16th November.
The event will see the iconic Mancunian boxer, who held British lightweight title between 2011 and 2012 as well as the WBA lightweight title between 2015 and 2016, mark the launch of his autobiography, Million Dollar Crolla: Good Guys Can Win. The book will officially be released the following day.
The venue of the event is particularly fitting for the boxer, who benefitted early in his career from the sponsorship of Morson. We also sponsor several other boxers, including Scott Quigg, Jordan Thompson and Ryan Collins as well as boxing schools in Eccles and Irlam. Outside of boxing we are also the main sponsor of champion horse trainer Paul Nicholls’ stables, with CEO Ged Mason co-owning Sale Sharks rugby union club.
Attending a health and wellbeing event at Morson in 2016, Crolla talked about his relationship with Morson and Group CEO Ged Mason: “Early on in my career, if it wasn’t for the likes of Ged who was helping me with my sponsorship to buy new kit – and at times it was a matter of even filling up my car to get to the gym – then I never would have gotten to where I am now.”
Crolla will be answering fan questions during the meet and greet as well as giving away signed copies of his book, co-written with sports writer, journalist and radio presenter Dominic McGuinness, ahead of the release.
Fans will be able to have a chance to attend the event by entering into a competition on the official company Twitter feed @MorsonGroup this week.
The event will take place as follows:
Thursday 16th November
Morson Head Office, Adamson House, Centenary Way, Salford, M50 1RD
Canapes and drinks will be served.
