Morson is proud to be awarded the award for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year award at the 2017 APSCo Awards for Excellence.

APSCo is committed to identifying, promoting and celebrating best practice and excellence in recruitment. The APSCo awards, open to member companies of all sizes, are an indicator of professional standards and are widely recognised by clients and throughout the recruitment sector.

Morson has always been dedicated to giving back to the local community, and one of our Core Values is charity. In 2006, we founded our official Charity Committee, and each year support two elected charities through employee-led activities. In 2016 we raised £160,000 for Seashell Trust and Springhill Hospice through events including a masquerade ball. Fundraising activities this year have included a 120-mile bike ride and a skydive.

We also sponsor local sporting talent and have links with Salford City College to support apprenticeships.

APSCo winners have to pass a rigorous assessment process that makes the awards the most prestigious accolade in professional recruitment. The process is led by a panel of independent judges that are acknowledged experts in each category. The panel noted that Morson “demonstrated a multi-faceted CSR strategy, attacking numerous fronts effectively with a clear impact on the local community. A strong social, financial and long-term activity development plan is in place, and CSR is clearly ingrained in the business.”
