Morson Group CEO Ged Mason was honoured with the Variety Legends of Industry award at their 2017 ceremony in Manchester.
The event honours and celebrates those who have achieved outstanding success in their chosen fields of business and industry whilst raising crucial funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity. Other recipients on the night included Noddy Holder MBE (music) and Paddy McGuinness (comedy).
In a speech on the awards evening, Ged said “I would like to say my sincerest thank you for this Legends of Industry award. When I look at the list of great people who have won this award before me I feel honoured and humbled to be among such esteemed company.”
“Part of what makes this award stand out to me is the fact that it comes from such a worthy organisation as the Variety Children’s Charity. As someone lucky enough to have two wonderful children, charities that focus around helping disadvantaged children are something very close to my heart.”
“I would also like to dedicate this award to all of the people around me who work hard to uphold the excellent reputation that Morson has. I feel I am collecting this on behalf of those who have been involved in our journey and have helped along the way. As my father himself said, there is no finish line, and that is the challenge – and therefore we keep moving forwards, always striving to be better and always challenging ourselves both professionally and personally.”
The Legends of Industry Awards 2017 took place at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester on Thursday 28 September 2017, raising £70,000 for children in the North West region.
