Happy Birthday To You

This year marks a quarter of a century since the football league First Division broke away and formed what we now know as the Premier League. Armed with copious television money and the whims and wishes of billionaires, a total of 49 different clubs have competed in the league over the last 25 years. We’ve seen legendary players go down in football folklore. We’ve seen an ‘invincible’ team, a team that amassed just 11 points and 1 win all season, a dominant managerial dynasty, that dramatic last minute title win and probably the single most shocking and unexpected event in the history of football.

What better way then to mark the anniversary of the world’s most popular football league by organising our very own Morson league, open to our contractors, employees and candidates.

As part of our new #CareerGoals series that looks at the links between sport and the world of business and employment, hundreds of Morson-affiliated folk will be competing in our league to win a selection of prizes. For top spot – a signed shirt from a Premier League team of your choice presented to you by a famous face from the beautiful game. For those who finish in the relegation places, there’s a prize for you too.

We’ll be blogging regularly over the course of the season, and contacting the movers and losers over the next nine months for their verdicts. Follow our Twitter feed @MorsonGroup for all the exclusive latest content.

Our first week of fixtures is just hours away, so it’s time to finalise those teams and cross those fingers. Good luck everyone!
