Morson recently hosted their first ever Health & Wellbeing Day, a day of activities and talks aimed at raising awareness of our employee’s physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.

Taking place on Thursday 29 September at Morson Group head office, the event saw over 50 exhibitors showcasing health and wellbeing initiatives and programmes. Students from Salford City College were among those in attendance, offering a range of massage and beauty treatments. They also provided a range of healthy canapes for visitors.  Other exhibitors included local holistic practitioners, employee benefit providers, gyms, the British Heart Foundation, Slimming World and the two charities for which Morson have been raising funds throughout the year, Seashell Trust and Springhill Hospice.

The overall aim of the day was to promote employee health and wellbeing and to make employees aware of services and products they may not have accessed previously. The day kicked off with a fun 3 minute ‘deskercise’ routine by Barrie of Holmesy’s Fitness Training which undertaken by employees across all our branches via a video tutorial.

Visitors were then invited to mingle with exhibitors and take part in talks and demonstrations while sampling healthy snacks and canapes. Employees had great fun particularly attending the Bollywood dancing workshop and choir taster session.health and wellbeing team shot

A Q&A session with champion boxer Anthony Crolla and former Sale Sharks and England international rugby player Mark Cueto closed the event.

Becki Ross, head of HR for Morson Group, was one of the key people involved in the organisation of the day.

“Morson has always been committed to the health and wellbeing of our staff and already has a great range of benefits and initiatives available. One of the main aims of the day was to find out what other activities and services our employees are interested in.”

“Most importantly of all, we had such great fun and it was great to see everyone getting involved.”
