Morson Group were honoured to be invited to attend the high-profile launch of Reserves Day, a national day aimed at demonstrating and celebrating the outstanding contribution that reservists give to the nation.

Today (8 September) is the inauguration of Reserves Day, a commemorative day which was officially launched by Defence Secretary Michael Fallon and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on 6 September at an event in London. The launch was attended by more than 100 employers and reservists.

Reservists serve in a variety of positions throughout the army, from the Royal Navy to the Royal Air Force. They balance civilian life with their duty to the armed forces and have recently been involved in operations to fight Ebola in Sierra Leone.

Jon Moon, contracts manager at the Wattisham branch of Morson, welcomed the invite to the prestigious event. “We are very proud and extremely honoured to have been invited to such a high-profile launch to celebrate the excellent service army reservists provide.”

Morson invited our reservists to come to work in their uniforms for the day as a gesture of pride during the celebration.
