On Thursday 14 July, Sale Sharks announced their board of directors who met for their first board meeting to discuss the club’s short, medium and long term strategies. Amongst the team is our Group CEO, Ged Mason, now co-owner of Sale Sharks alongside Simon Orange (founder and chair of CorpArq).

The two owners are joined by a high profile 10-man board of directors led by chairman, Fran Cotton (ex-England captain and British and Irish Lions prop). The remaining board of directors include: Mike Ingall, CEO of Allied London, former England international rugby union player and Sale legend Steve Smith, Mike Blood, a former Sale player and now head of corporate at law firm JMW, Steve Diamond, the club’s director of rugby, accountant Dermot Power, and Jon Dorsett, CEO at Sale Sharks and director at CorpAcq. As a collective their ambition is to develop Sale Sharks into a shining example of a northern powerhouse on and off the field.

Speaking of the announcement, Ged Mason said “I’m thrilled to be part of Sale Sharks’ future. These are exciting times for the club as we work as a team to bring continued and even greater success to the club.”
