It is quickly becoming a summer of success for Morson.
On Thursday 9 June, Morson in association with Salford City College were crowned the winners of the large business of the year category at the Skills for Business awards.
Nominated for the award by one of our key training providers Salford City College, the Skills for Business judges said “Morson have shown a clear investment in workforce development, spending £1.5million on learning and training for both staff and contractors. They have a responsive and innovative approach to training to meet their sectors needs as well as meeting staff needs and addressing different approaches to learning. Consistent in showing the importance of improving skills that will not only help the business but also the individuals.”
Winning this award is testimony to the significant investment we have put into our learning and development programme over the last few years. Key initiatives include the introduction of five new apprenticeship frameworks (finance, IT, professional services, recruitment and rail) as well as the creation of Morson Vital Training. Through Morson Vital Training we deliver UK wide training courses for candidates and existing contractors, a rail apprenticeship programme as well as provide technical training for our own employees.
Championed by our head of HR, Becki Ross, we have created a working environment where learning takes place every day and at every level. There is great pride amongst our staff and the current partnerships we have with learning providers support and will continue to support our business growth.
