Morson were proud to sponsor Callum Smith as he took the British and European WBC Silver title after beating opponent Hadillah Mohoumadi at the Echo Arena Liverpool.
25-year-old Callum from Liverpool delivered a knock out fight when he took down Mohoumadi in just one minute and 41 seconds with a counter left duck punch. Callum’s training with Joe Gallagher, British Boxing Coach, paid off on the night with all his techniques and training helping to deliver a first class performance.
During the lead up to Callum’s fight he committed himself to a gruelling training regime. Callum is now back in the gym maintaining his fitness levels in preparation for the announcement of his next fight.
Callum is one of four of the Smith family of boxers and recently travelled to America to cheer on brother Stephen ‘Swifty’ Smith, who Morson also sponsors.
Callum Smith said: “The sponsorship of Morson means a lot to me as it allows me to train and fight full time. I used to watch Ricky Hatton wearing the Morson cap and I am now proud to do the same. My fight against Mohoumadi was great, it was really important that I won but I am really happy how I won in just the first round. ”
