Media City was graced with soap star royalty as Morson ALLSTARS participated in a football marathon to raise money for Sport Relief 2016.
Coronation Street stars such as Ryan Thomas, Alan Halsall and Michael Le Vell, who play Jason Grimshaw, Tyrone Dobbs and Kevin Webster, joined Hollyoaks actor Duayne Boachie and Emmerdale stars Chris Bisson, Anthony Quinlan, Adam Thomas and the rest of the Morson ALLSTARS football team on the pitch to help make their difference for charity.
The Morson ALLSTARS football stint was part of the BBC 5 Live’s ‘Battle of the Five-A-Sides’, a 57-hour game which saw celebrities and football pundits Robbie Savage and Alan Shearer also put their best footballing foot forward.
Walk, run, swim or cycle, individuals nationwide are being encouraged to put their best foot forward to raise money for Sport Relief. Morson were proud to help raise funds for a charity which makes a difference to the lives of people here in the UK as well as transforming lives across the world’s poorest communities.
Morson ALLSTARS captain Alan Halsall, who plays Coronation Street star Tyrone Dobbs said: “There was a great turnout for the Morson ALLSTARS football match. We are really proud to be involved in charity initiatives and raise money for a range of very important charities.”
