Morson Group were a proud sponsor of North West athlete Nathan Gorman as he secured another knockout defeat during his second professional boxing contest.

19-year-old Nathan, from Nantwich in Cheshire, took on Poland’s Jakub Wojcik at Walsall Town Hall during his recent victory. Nathan, who trains at South Cheshire ABC, was also a proud representative for his country after he was hand selected for the Great Britain squad during his rise to professional boxing.

Nathan, who competed and won in the AIBA Youth World Champions 2014, is committed to his five day a week training programme which involves specialist boxing techniques on pads, as well as circuit and cardio training.

Nathan has also been hailed the next big thing in boxing by former British professional boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, whose career highlights include holding the WBA, IBF, IBO and The Ring magazine light-welterweight titles. Nathan believes the support from Ricky and his sponsor Morson has greatly improved his confidence.

Fleet Overhaul Engineer (Rail)

The Fleet Heavy Overhaul Programme delivers the Programme Lifts, Heavy Overhauls and Door Overhauls for London Underground's passenger rolling stock fleets. Senior Planner

Our client a leading Renewable Energy company are seeking a Senior Planner for an on-going contract role based in Glasgow / London The Senior Planner is a critical role within the Offshore Business focussing on the delivery of substantial project programme controls within the offshore project, working with multinational and multi-functional team ensuring that SPR's/ Iberdrola position is suitably protected at any agreements. Belonging to the Project Controls team and Reporting to the East Anglia Hub Project Controls Manager, the Senior Project Planner will be responsible for development, maturing and analysis of the Project Programme. The candidate must be able as well to identify synergies among the activities, and any overlap or gaps that may occur, and propose solutions and enhancing measures. This role is essential to identify opportunities for synergies, in cost and time saving. The individual will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and during development, contracting and delivery of substantial packages the individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations. Accountability * Lead delivery of complex multi-million pound, multi-disciplinary, multi- contract project planning with a substantial number of interfaces and coordination to manage. * Ensure substantial Development, maturing and analysis of the Level 3 Project Master Programme (PMP) * Ensure the delivery of substantial project standard monthly and ad hoc reporting to support project, business and corporate requirements. * Provide key and strategic delivery advice, in relation to substantial project planning matters throughout the whole life cycle (development to decommissioning) to support the business plan delivery. * Prepare substantial project plans such as: Prepare and Issue Monthly Progress Sheets from P6, expedite, receive, validate and enter progress per package into P6, interact with Package Managers to discuss schedule issues and reforecast and produce Monthly Package updates and File on System. * Interface with team that will be responsible for planning during execution phase (onshore and offshore) of substantial scopes: Site Planner, Supply Chain Planner, Installation Programmer. * Provide expert advice on the identification of schedule problems and support to management in resolution and decision-making. * Identify synergies across projects and activities * Provide key input in the identification & assessment impacts of programme risk and Assist in the development of opportunities for best-practice. * Develop the Level 3 Project Master Programme (PMP) working with project team and external stakeholders. * Coordinate with the external contractor's planning function for all Tasks related to the follow-up and control of the Contractors programmes, such as: receive, check/validate Suppliers Programmes, Interface/summarise into the PMP (from installation windows to batches and then to units), Interact with suppliers planner(s), update PMP with supplier progress on Monthly Basis, discuss schedule issues with Package Managers and reforecast. * Lead and Assist Installation and Commissioning Planner as required in development and reporting of the Level 4 Installation and Commissioning Programme (from units to detailed activities). * Identification of schedule problems and support to management in resolution and decision-making. Skills, Knowledge and experience * Proven project management experience in large EPC projects, ideally offshore wind energy related, minimum 6 years. In the delivery of project plans through the pre-delivery, delivery and operation transition phases. * Experience and skills in Primavera P6. * Experience in offshore wind projects / energy projects. * Competent in future planning. Proven experience in delivery and programming. * Experience in offshore windfarm, marine works or oil and gas programme delivery and marine operations scheduling and its potential delay risks. * Experience in tendering processes programming. * Sound relationship management skills and confidence working with more senior project managers. * Good communication and interpersonal skills.
