Rebekah Valero-Lee morson news

In March 2015 Gerry Mason, met with the then Vice Chancellor of Salford University to discuss his vision in supporting local, talented Engineering Students, pledging £270,000 (the largest individual pledge the University has ever received) to establish the ‘Gerry Mason Engineering Excellence Scholarships’ at the University.

The Scholarships will ensure that the most gifted individuals are able to flourish at the University of Salford irrespective of their financial background. These scholarships are available to students across all disciplines of engineering, ensuring that gifted individuals are not deterred from studying at the University of Salford and offer financial support to promising engineers of our future, for the duration of their course.

The Mason family were honoured to stand in and attend the recent special presentation ceremony to formally present the awards to the 5 successful individuals. Gerry’s generosity will ensure that his legacy lives on at Salford and will have a huge impact of the lives of future students.
