Morson’s Charlotte Mollart has been named Recruiter/HR Person of the Year at the 2015 RailStaff Awards.

The RailStaff Awards, which is supported by the Rail Alliance and Young Rail Professionals, is an annual industry event recognising the hard work, courage and professionalism of the men and women who operate and maintain Britain’s railway. Now in its ninth year, the 2015 event was held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on October 10th, the awards welcomed close to 1,000 guests on the night.

RailStaff Awards 2015 received 1,200 nominations, approaching 40,000 votes and over 20 nominations for the Recruiter/HR Person of the Year category.

Charlotte and her team have made an outstanding contribution to major rail infrastructure programmes around the country. She was nominated for her efforts to find competent, quality staff in an extremely challenging market.

Thanking her team, Charlotte said: “There are huge challenges due to the shortfall, but we are encouraging clients to take on apprentices and young people to give experience in the industry.”

The Recruiter/HR Person of the Year Award was this year sponsored by Stobart Rail – one of the leading names in rail network maintenance and enhancement. The award was presented by Stobart Rail’s business development manager, Andrew Sumner.

He said: “I think the individuals make the rail industry.

“It’s vital that we recognise the people, the personalities, the hard work the individuals put into the rail industry.”
