Morson joined a group of key Suffolk businesses this month to receive a Ministry of Defence (MoD) Employer Recognition Scheme Silver award for demonstrating their support to Reservist employees.

The awards were presented by Major General Greg Smith CB QVRM TD at Flying Station Wattisham, Roman Road, Ipswich, Suffolk.

Accepting the award on behalf of Morson was contracts manager at Morson Technical services, Jon Moon.

Jon commented:

“Morson is delighted to receive the Silver Award in recognition of our support to our Reserve Force colleagues. As the UK’s Number One Technical Recruiter, we actively recruit from HM Forces; we recognise the importance of our Reserve Forces and the significant contribution they make to the company and our clients.”

The fourteen Suffolk-based companies who were awarded the Silver Award all employ Reservists and were commended on their on-going support to the defence sector whether that involved training courses or mobilisation.

Reservists are men and women who give up their free time to train alongside the regular (full-time) military forces and may be called on to serve the country in times of need at home or abroad.
