Permanent staff placements rise significantly in June 2013, announces the latest REC/KPMG Report on Jobs.

The engineering sector topped the report’s list of growth areas, with the strongest demand for both permanent and temporary staff. The report followed research from business services firm, KPMG, and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) of 400 recruitment firms in the UK.

Damian Ainge, Director of Permanent Recruitment at Morson International, said: “This is clearly encouraging news for the permanent recruitment market, and the engineering industry as a whole.

“Quarterly reports at Morson reflect the findings of the REC. Our spread of business across our sectors has seen significant growth and June placements are on the up by 30% from the previous month.

“The steady rise we’re experiencing indicates a continued improvement across the permanent market, and at Morson we anticipate further growth in this arena throughout 2013.”
