MP for Salford and Eccles, Hazel Blears, visited Morson Group’s head office recently, in recognition of Morson’s involvement with the work experience programme, Kids without Connections.
Hazel launched Kids without Connections earlier this year, with the aim of encouraging local businesses across Salford and Eccles to offer work experience to young people aged between 16-24 years, for a period of up to four weeks.
Morson welcomed Liz Trousdale and Helen Elms to the company as part of the scheme, and has subsequently happily announced their full-time employment with the company.
Hazel commented: “I would like to thank Morson for getting involved in my Kids without Connections scheme.
“Too many talented young people like Lizzy and Helen are unable to find work because they lack family and professional connections.
“I’m glad to see they both seized the opportunity offered them during their period of work experience and secured permanent jobs with the company.
“They have already established themselves as valued members of the team.
“I was also really impressed by the great facilities Morson has for its staff and this clearly translates into a positive working environment which contributes to the company’s success.”
