Ged Mason, CEO of Morson Group, will embark on a nine-day charity challenge on Saturday 24th November, raising funds for local charity, Lagan’s Foundation and national charity Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.
The ‘Cycle Cuba’ event will see Ged and the Action Challenge team traverse the contrasting terrain of Cuba in South America, covering approximately 400km over five days. The team will arrive in Havana – home of Che Guevara, Ernest Hemmingway and Fidel Castro – before receiving a briefing from local guides.
The days that follow will see the group passing through the beautiful Yumuri Valley, the Peninsula of Zapata, the World Heritage town of Trinidad and the subsequent scenery of sugar mills, tobacco farms and green pastures.
Lagan’s Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support are Morson Group’s two chosen charities for 2012. In the past year, employees at Morson have tackled everything from Everest treks to national cycle rides, hosted fashion shows and held mammoth bake sales, raising thousands of pounds for both organisations.
