Morson has a commitment to its employees, its customers, contractors and the communities it operates within to act professionally, to deliver an exceptional quality of service, and support and invest in the future of our business relationships.
Addressing the skills shortage is a focus for the company. We have welcomed apprentices since 1980, and last year held an apprentice award ceremony in recognition of National Apprenticeship Week with the support of the Skills Funding Agency and local government.
In the summer of 2014 the Group established a dedicated training division, Morson Vital Training(MVT). MVT supports apprenticeships, re-certification, upskilling and training at many levels. Purpose-built facilities in Manchester allow for practical training on a site-replication facility, as well as theoretical learning in the buildings high- specification classroom facilities. In 2017, MVT was awarded the platinum best-in-class by the National Skills Academy for Rail, recognising them as an industry leader.
MVT has introduced learning disciplines that include: Data Protection Level 2 Equality and Diversity Level 2, Apprenticeship in Management Level 3, ILM Certificate in Management Level 3.
“I would always recommend apprenticeships – you are learning but earning money at the same time, and working too. You can enjoy life because you are getting paid, but at the end of it you also have a qualification and a new set of skills for a successful career.” Lydia Dixon, Apprentice of the Year 2014 (Morson International)
In 2017, we continued to champion #TeamMorson in their athletic endeavours with key sponsorships of boxers, golfers, sports teams and jockeys.
