Material Planner

In partnership with their worldwide dealer network, our client drives positive and sustainable change on every continent. They are the world•s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines.

They currently have a requirement for a Material Planner.

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and monitor the status of ordered parts/materials and expedite or de-expedite delivery or items to meet requirements
- Work the Material Planners checklist on a daily basis
- Establish root cause and work to resolve any issues which could affect supply of parts
- Escalate where appropriate any issues/areas needing attention
- Work to agreed KPI•s on the following Availability, Back Order/Past Due reduction (Including Aged Orders), ETA Coverage
- Required to work closely with the Client, Supply Base, Market Response, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Operations & Logistics.

Key Skills/Requirements:
- Previous experience in or knowledge of Supply Chain with a proven track record in Material Planning, Vendor Management Skills & Strong Planning & Organising Skills.
- SAP knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Full driving licence as supplier visits may be required in the UK

Salary: £9.00 - £11.00 ph PAYE
